Family and Large Groups Photography

What do we wear to our family photo shoot?

I recommend everyone wear similarly styled outfits. Either everyone go for a casual look or formal look. You don't have to wear the same colors, however, harmonious color palettes are best for groups. I also suggest wearing comfortable clothes and accurate to the location and weather. You are welcome to check my Pinterest profile for ideas.

Do you offer hair styling and make up?

My packages don't include hair styling or make up, but I work with a beauty salon I would love to recommend.

What should we bring for our photo session?

It's always good to have water. If you are coming with kids some snacks and a favorite toy are handy in case they are tired. I suggest bringing extra clothes for kids in case they get dirty.

Maternity Photography

When should I take my maternity photos?

Scheduling your session when you are about 30-35 weeks or 7-8 months along is suggested so your belly will be noticeable but not too heavy so as not to experience discomfort. However, each woman is different and there are no absolute rules against doing your photoshoot outside of this timeline. You know your body best, monitor how you feel in the weeks leading up to your shoot. If you feel like you want to reschedule for earlier date, please contact me.

What do I need to bring to my maternity photography session?

To facilitate a smooth and comfortable shoot I recommend to bring a few things:

  • having some water and favorite snacks on hand is always a good idea in case you get tired.

  • depends on a weather, location and time of photo shoot, make sure to bring a pair of comfy shoes and a jacket or sweater since some locations tend to become cooler as the session progress.

What do I wear to my maternity photo shoot?

When choosing an outfit to bring I suggest something tight and stretchy to show off your beautiful baby bump but comfy at the same time. I also recommend wearing a nude seamless strapless bra and nude underwear. There are clothing ideas on my Pinterest profile, feel free to check on that.

I also have a few maternity gowns that you can choose from.

What props should I bring?

Props are not necessary, but they can be a great way to personalize your pictures. For instance, if you know gender of your baby or the name you're going to use, you can announce the sex by using colored balloons or blocks to spell out the name.

Newborn Photography

When should we schedule newborn session?

I recommend scheduling newborn session as soon as you know you are pregnant. I understand that there is never guarantee that baby will come on due date, so we'll be in touch and I'll be flexible around your due date.

When is best time to take newborn photos?

I suggest that you take newborn photos between 5-14 days. The main reason behind scheduling your photo shoot at this time is that babies are easiest to work within the first two weeks of being born. During this period, babies are sleeping most of the day which makes it very easy to get them into poses. In addition, the baby was in the womb for a long time and they are more likely to curl up in "womb" like poses, stay asleep longer, and don't mind being unclothed.

How long is the newborn session?

Baby photo session can last anywhere between 2 - 3 hours. We work on the baby's schedule, so I typically allow this time frame. Each session may vary in progress, not every baby will do every pose, all depends on baby's temperament, health and mood. To keep baby as comfortable as possible we'll stop if baby need to be comforted, fed, or changed as often as necessary.

Where is the session location?

Sessions will take place at my home studio, where I create the perfect environment for newborn photography. I available to come to your home. A travel fee will be applied.

Are props included?

I provide props for the baby photos but you are welcome to bring any special props to you to help create more personalized photos.

How can I help to prepare my baby?

Once your session is reserved, I'll send you a link to my  session preparations instructions to ensure that your newborn session goes smoothly.

Booking and cancellation/rescheduling policy

What do I need to do to book my date?

Go to my contact page and complete the form. I'll get back to you as soon as possible or  simply just call me. I do require a deposit to hold your date. This is non-refundable, but can be transferable if you have to cancel for health reason or the weather doesn't cooperate.

What is your cancellation/rescheduling policy?

You may change the date or time of your session one time, up to two weeks before your appointment and 100% of your deposit may be applied to a new appointment. The following will be considered a cancellation and your deposit will be forfeited: rescheduling more than once, cancelling/rescheduling with less than 48 hour notice, or arriving more than 20 minutes late for your session. Sessions are typically rescheduled if steady rain or strong wind is in the forecast (determined about four hours before the session).
